free, runs in your browser, nothing uploads
Convert an audio file. Without uploading it anywhere.
Drop an MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, MP4 — whatever you have. We convert, cut, or clean it right here in the tab. It never touches a server. Your unreleased track stays yours.
drop an audio or video file
We'll auto-detect the format and let you pick what to do with it. Drop multiple files for batch conversion.
01.Pick a focused tool
MP4 → MP3
Pull the audio out of a video. Phone recordings, lectures, podcasts you saved as MP4.
M4A → MP3
iPhone Voice Memos and Apple-recorded clips into something every player handles.
WAV → MP3
Master bounces and DAW exports compressed for sharing, with bitrate you choose.
MP3 → WAV
Decompress back to uncompressed PCM for editing, sampling, or DAW import.
FLAC → MP3
Archive-quality FLAC down to portable MP3. Keep the original, generate a copy.
MOV → MP3
QuickTime and iPhone .mov files stripped to clean audio. Same tool, different muxer.
Audio Cutter
Trim the silence, grab a clip, set a ringtone. Visual waveform, drag the handles.
Audio Joiner
Stitch multiple clips into one file. Reorder by drag. Crossfade if you want.
Extract Audio
Any video format in, audio out. MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV — pick your output codec.
WAV → FLAC
Lossless compression for archiving recordings. Same audio, smaller files.
MP3 → M4A
Apple-friendly AAC format for iTunes and iPhone workflows.
Audio Compressor
Shrink a file for email, a podcast host, or an upload limit. Pick bitrate, get it small.
Normalize Audio
Peak-normalize to a target dB so quiet recordings sit at the right volume.
Silence Remover
Strip dead air from the start and end of a recording automatically.
Ringtone Maker
30-second clip from any song, exported as iPhone .m4r or Android .mp3.
Audio Speed
Speed up a podcast, slow down a song. Pitch-preserved or tape-style.
Audio Reverser
Play any audio file in reverse. For build-ups, sample design, hidden-message hunts.
02.Why this site
Most "online audio converter" sites want you to upload a file you wrote, or recorded, or paid for, to a server in someone else's country, wait in a queue, and then trust them to delete it. That's silly. Your browser can already decode and encode audio. We wrap Web Audio and a slim FFmpeg-WebAssembly build with a clean drop target, and that's the whole site.
Local
Your audio stays in the tab. Open the page, kill your wifi, the tools still work. Try it.
Nothing to install
No download, no signup, no daily quota. You're already where you need to be.
Real controls
Bitrate, sample rate, channels, LUFS target — actual values you can pick, not a "Pro" wall.
Batch is normal
Drop 40 voice memos, get 40 MP3s back as a zip. Not a feature we ration.
03.FAQ
Does my audio actually stay on my device?
Yes. Open this page, switch to airplane mode, then drop a file. It still converts. That's the test, and the whole point of the site.
Why does my browser need a moment to "warm up" the first time?
For most conversions we load a small WebAssembly module (around 3 MB) on first use. After that it's cached and instant. Simple MP3 encoding doesn't need it at all.
Which formats can I convert between?
MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, OPUS, and audio extracted from MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV. Most common pairs go both directions.
What about DRM-protected files like Apple Music or Spotify?
Those are encrypted and we can't decrypt them. That's a feature, not a bug. Use the original app to export, or buy the unprotected version.
How big can the file be?
Around 500 MB is a safe ceiling on a modern laptop. We can sometimes handle more, but past 1 GB the browser starts running out of memory.
Are you keeping any data?
We have a privacy-respecting analytics ping (page views, no audio data, no personal identifiers) and Google AdSense ads, which you can opt out of with the consent banner. That's it.
Why is this free?
No servers to run means almost zero cost. There's an ad slot or two. No accounts, no upsell, no Pro tier.
